Flood Recovery: Flood Clean-up Teams
Register to Volunteer Now at www.servevillage.org
SERVE Village is organizing Volunteers to help our Neighbors muck out and clean up homes impacted by recent flooding across Hamilton County. Crews will only be sent to homes that have been determined safe and have registered with Hamilton County EMA.
Tools to Bring (if you have them):
● Hammers
● Sledgehammers
● Pry bars, Crow bars
● Floor scrapers
● Flat scoop shovels
● Push brooms
● Screwdrivers
● Utility knives
● Buckets
● Wheelbarrows
● Drills
● Oscillating saws
● Sawzalls
● Circular saws
Don't have any of these? No problem, come anyway! There's a role for every Neighbor ready to help.
Things to Know Before You Come
● *Age requirement: Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
● *What to wear: Clothes you don't mind getting dirty — pants and boots or closed-toe shoes are strongly encouraged.
● *What's provided: Gloves and masks will be available for all Volunteers.
● *Training: Every shift begins with a training session at the Hamilton County 4-H Fairgrounds before teams head to their assigned locations.
A Quick Health Reminder — Check Your Tetanus Shot
Confirm your tetanus booster is current before your shift. Disaster Emergency Clean-up has unknown threats that could cause serious puncture wounds. If your last booster was more than 5–10 years ago, please get an updated one before heading out. Stay safe while you serve!
One More Thing
We know plans change! If you sign up and later find you can't make it, please unregister as soon as you know. Other Neighbors may be waitlisted and ready to jump in — unregistering gives them that chance.
