Fishers Flood Relief: Ways to Help

The City of Fishers is seeking volunteers to support our community as we respond to and recover from the current flooding emergency.
CLICK HERE to official register to volunteer

At this time, volunteers should not report to flooded neighborhoods or attempt to provide assistance on their own. Floodwaters and impacted areas may present serious hazards.

The City is currently building a roster of volunteers who are ready to help once affected areas have been assessed and cleared for safe volunteer activity. As needs are identified, registered volunteers may be contacted to assist with flood recovery efforts throughout the Fishers community.

Potential Volunteer Activities Volunteer assignments will depend on community needs and conditions and may include:

  • Assisting residents with cleanup of flood-affected properties
  • Removing debris and damaged household materials
  • Moving and organizing supplies
  • Distributing water, food, cleanup supplies, and other resources
  • Supporting donation collection and distribution
  • Assisting with community cleanup efforts
  • Helping with other recovery needs as identified by City staff and emergency response partners

Some assignments may involve physical labor, outdoor work, lifting, or working in areas affected by flooding. Volunteers will receive information about their specific assignment, location, and any necessary safety precautions before deployment.

Important Safety Information:

Do not enter floodwaters, flooded structures, closed roads, or restricted areas. Volunteers should only respond to locations and assignments specifically communicated by the City or its designated partners.

Signing up for this opportunity places you on the City's Flood Relief Volunteer Roster. Registration does not guarantee an immediate assignment. Volunteers will be contacted as needs arise and locations are determined to be safe for volunteer assistance.

Respond today so we can quickly mobilize volunteers when and where help is needed most. Thank you for stepping up to support the Fishers community during this emergency.
