Support Staff Volunteers for 9/11 Day Meal Pack
As we prepare to commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11, 9/11 Day is bringing together 50,000 volunteers in 50 cities to pack 20 million meals for people experiencing food insecurity. We are organizing the largest day of service in American history and we need your help!
In Indy, 210,000 will be packed for Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana at the Hinkle Fieldhouse practice facility. To make the event possible, we're currently recruiting 130 Support Staff Volunteers for 2 shifts:
- 30 Set-Up Volunteers on September 10 at 5:30 - 9:30 PM for pre-event prep
- 100 Support Staff Volunteers on September 11 at 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM for the event day shift
Support Staff Volunteer Opportunities include:

Table Captains – Lead and energize meal-packing teams

Heavy Lifters / Runners – Keep supplies moving and meal-packing stations stocked

Hospitality & Registration – Welcome, check in, and assist volunteers

Set-Up & Break-Down Crew – Help prepare and reset the event space
